Unity
“I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace: one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:1-5
I am amazed how each of us is unique and how each of
us has a reflection of God. No two are alike, but when we stand together, we
can see the “bigger” picture of God. Unity. Two are always better than one. In
the fire service it’s two in, two out. Military, no man left behind. Unity. I
know I put up walls, and at times I am not the easiest person to get to know.
Yet, unity is important to me. Family, friends and community. Today, reflect on
how you are part of the bigger picture. Reflect on how your uniqueness adds,
contributes to the whole. Lord, thank you for the morning and day. Bless us
with the vision of who we are as your ambassador to others and part of one
Lord, one faith on the path…
