Good Works

-

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Do you start your day with: Ok, Lord, I know you have prepared in advance good work for me, so today, help me to make sure I do the good work you have for me? Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are here on earth to do good works. You never know how the kindness you extend might change someone’s life. Doing good works is something that is in a Christians DNA because we are created in his likeness and image. Today, take a deep breath and do good works. God has paved the way for you, so no matter how difficult you got this! Lord thank you for the day and possibilities. Grant courage, vision and your loving arms wrapped around today on the path…

Be Ready

-
If you are a gardener, you know you need to prepare. I have already looked over my gardens. Pruned my fruit trees and turned over dirt. Nutrients have gone into the earth, and I have made a list of the next steps. Preparation.  There are a lot of things we need to prepare for; that is, to be ready. My point today is surrounding yourself with wise companions; heck, I even married one. Wisdom is something to strive for, and especially finding it in companionship on the path…

Patience and Hope

-
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” Romans 8:25 Since the break, the people in my house have been sick. The flu has struck and is still with us. We are waiting patiently for health to return. The advantage of being ill is that you really slow down and rest. Patience and hope. Two words that fill our lives. There were things I wanted to do during my two weeks off. Instead, I must reboot. Luckily, I have the time to do so. Hope and Patience. Living our lives with hope-for what we do not yet have, and waiting patiently can bring a sense of calm on the path…
