God will supply

 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

What is your need today? Spring is in the air even though temperatures dropped today, more and more warm temperatures are on the horizon. What is it that I need as we enter the last week of Lent? Do I feel closer to God? Do I have tools to more into Easter and beyond? One lesson is that I trust in the Lord, so I will trust the tools I need are there, the joy is in my heart to glorify Him and to sing His praises. Lesson two, is that clutter does seep in so I need to always ask myself, “Need or want? Fostering or hindering my relationship with God. Does it help my focus or blur my vision? As the season is about to change both liturgically and in life, I am reminded that God will supply every need on the path…

Trust

The theme is for a person to trust in God, not in leaders, wealth, or themselves. So many of the verses speak to the world today. The book of Isaiah has many verses warning those who trust in their power, their wealth, or leaders who oppress. As I listen for the whisper, I am reminded to turn towards God. When I wrote my dissertation, I used the verse Isaiah 43:2. This verse reminds a person of the power of God. Trust. Trust in God. Difficulties come and go. The whisper is simply: trust in God. Walk with the Wise

 As I journey through this life, I am reminded to pick my companionship carefully. “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” Proverbs 13:20 Jobs come and go. Events come and go, but true companionship sticks with you through “thick and thin.” At work, I have people I hope I can stay in contact with after I retire. I enjoy their company. They provide wisdom when I ask. The other day, I said to a fellow teacher, I am having a teaching moment. I need advice.  Another teacher, whom I find wise, had walked in, and we discussed my “teacher moment.” They were able to provide wisdom, so when I went home, I was de-stressed. Thank you. My point today is surrounding yourself with wise companions; heck, I even married one. Wisdom is something to strive for, and especially finding it in companionship on the path…
