A clear path

 Winter white snow, with the sun reflection off it, can make a path hard to see. Roads become questionable during snowstorms and sometimes we lose our way. Our faith journey can be like that. When events happen, and we need to start new paths we are hesitant because the road isn’t quite passable. Take heart today. Set your direction for the Lord states: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:8) So take that leap of faith, or keep traveling knowing God is always there on the path…

I went yesterday and was treated for bronchitis and a sinus infection.   I have been praying that all of you are well and begin 2026 with hope. Hope, faith, and love, these three will overcome anything, and when well planted will bless you forever on the path…

What will your task be in 2026?

“ and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,” Luke 8:2 Mary Magdalene was sent by Jesus to tell the followers he had risen. Yet I think that one of the important reasons that Mary could be given this task was that she modeled the power of Christ through his cure of her seven demons. The seven demons were overcome through Jesus. These are the seven deadly sins: pride, greed, wrath, lust, envy, gluttony, and sloth. The deadly sins are replaced with the seven heavenly virtues: prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, and charity. As we come to New Year's and think about how we want to change the path we are on, let's make 2026 a great year. Think about replacing one of the demons that might plague you. Christ is there to help each of us with something we need to work on and replace. Who knows the tasks we will be given when we are cured?  Pray on it, reflect, then ask Christ to cure ...
