Wonderful deeds

 “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1

Wonderful deeds. Most of the wonderful deeds in my life come from trivial things. I have not seen any wildlife on my way to work for a while, yet today I saw over a dozen deer! For me, that is wonderful. There are important things in my life that are wonderful, my husband of 42 years, my awesome children, and my grandchildren. I have a huge extended family for which I feel blessed. I could hit most of the states in America and see family. Blessed. Life is not easy, life is full of struggles, but sometimes it helps to take a moment to think about all the wonderful deeds from God in our lives on the path…

What will your task be in 2026?

“ and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,” Luke 8:2 Mary Magdalene was sent by Jesus to tell the followers he had risen. Yet I think that one of the important reasons that Mary could be given this task was that she modeled the power of Christ through his cure of her seven demons. The seven demons were overcome through Jesus. These are the seven deadly sins: pride, greed, wrath, lust, envy, gluttony, and sloth. The deadly sins are replaced with the seven heavenly virtues: prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, and charity. As we come to New Year's and think about how we want to change the path we are on, let's make 2026 a great year. Think about replacing one of the demons that might plague you. Christ is there to help each of us with something we need to work on and replace. Who knows the tasks we will be given when we are cured?  Pray on it, reflect, then ask Christ to cure ...
