The cover of darkness
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
The cover of darkness. Early this morning, around 12:30 am, my husband and I took my granddaughter for a car ride. This usually puts her to sleep. She did fall asleep about 1am. I found myself back in the car at 5:30 am to go to work. As we drove my granddaughter around in the cover of darkness, the world seems so peaceful. I know a lot of bad can happen in darkness, but when we drive we look for wildlife. Last night we did not see anything. Yet it is the peace and serenity that one cannot help but appreciate. It is like looking a child that finally falls asleep-peaceful. This morning as I drove in darkness, I asked, sought, and knocked. I found this morning, a great time to talk with God. The roads are not cluttered, and my focus on driving isn’t as strained. Today as you journey through, take a moment to ask, seek, and knock…God is waiting for you on the path…..
