A Season
Colossians 3:12 - Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,
I love the
Christmas season. Yes, I said season. It begins with Advent and ends in January
after the Epiphany. Or some may say “someone will say that they are following
the traditional and official end of the Christmas season, February 2nd, 40 days
after Christmas, which is the Feast
of the Presentation of the Lord or Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary (commonly
called Candlemas, in Greek Hypapante).” Preparing for the season ~
the birth of a child, or the second coming of Christ, means I take a moment to
assess myself. Today, I am wrestling with: Do I have a compassionate heart? Am
I full of kindness? Am I humble? Am I meek? And do I have enough patience? As
the season encroaches in, take time to see how you need to decorate yourself…with
compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. See how you can best
welcome Christ or re-welcome Christ into your life on the path…
