Rest

 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Matthew 11:28-29

A priest puts on his stole as his yoke with Christ. When he does, he is saying I’m ready to get to work and die for the work. The yoke of Christ binds us to Christ’s work. My husband and I have been in northern Minnesota this weekend deepening bonds with family and making new friends. We do so knowing the yoke of Christ is present. So, we thank God for this time and for family and new friends. These are moments of healing under the yoke that provides rest for the soul on the path…
