Complete Joy

 Complete Joy. What would complete joy look like to you? I can be a very persistent person. I am persistent with God also. If I ask God for something I do so with a commitment that what I am asking is for good. I know when I pray, I can struggle to hear God’s answer. When I finally get an answer, I might not like it, but I remember what John 16:24 states, “Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.” Complete joy comes from knowing that others have my back, and God does also. Complete joy means that when I did receive, I’m not, it is enough. It is complete. I challenge you to think about what you need to ask God about, and when you receive, no matter what remember it is complete on the path…

What will your task be in 2026?

“ and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,” Luke 8:2 Mary Magdalene was sent by Jesus to tell the followers he had risen. Yet I think that one of the important reasons that Mary could be given this task was that she modeled the power of Christ through his cure of her seven demons. The seven demons were overcome through Jesus. These are the seven deadly sins: pride, greed, wrath, lust, envy, gluttony, and sloth. The deadly sins are replaced with the seven heavenly virtues: prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, and charity. As we come to New Year's and think about how we want to change the path we are on, let's make 2026 a great year. Think about replacing one of the demons that might plague you. Christ is there to help each of us with something we need to work on and replace. Who knows the tasks we will be given when we are cured?  Pray on it, reflect, then ask Christ to cure ...
