Walk This Way

Walk this way… Years ago, there was a song that included the words, “walk this way.” My day began very early this morning due to my asthma. The house is still, and as everyone sleeps, I am relieved that the meds put my breathing right. As I wait for normal breathing, I have time to think about teaching and lessons. The model, that is, to walk in the way of Christ,  I want to be to students. Staying strong in my faith means I know that there is a right way to walk, and to avoid not walking a certain way. It’s not easy, and sometimes the lines are blurred. Sometimes I get sucked in and realize it was the wrong path. We don't model Christ to others. We all do. Those wrong paths help one to know and reinforce the right path. I think about: “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” – Isaiah 30:21 God speaks to us in many ways; we just need to listen. I know today will seem a little longer since I’ve been up since 1:30, but I’ve had time to listen to God, and see a little clearer the way to walk on the path…
