Leaping for Joy
This morning, I am reviewing my class lists to ensure I am ready for the first day with students. I am reminded of Friday’s gospel reading, where Luke 1:41 stated: “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” This year, I will “leap for joy when I see a student being a model of Christ. I will leap for joy when I remember to take the high road and be Christlike, modeling that to my students. Sometimes we must set intentional expectations. We need to name it, claim it, and be it.
